Sensory Storytime

10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Benton Branch, Meeting Room Ages 0-9

This program is specifically designed for children with autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD or who have difficultly sitting still, but we welcome anyone who wants to participate! Email Ms. Dana at danab@salinecountylibrary.org with any questions, or to get a library social story.

Little Storytime

10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Bryant Branch, Meeting Room Ages 1-3

We’ll have stories, songs, and fun at this storytime specifically designed for children 1-3 years old. After storytime, we’ll pull out toys and you can stay to play!

Monday Afternoon Book Club East of Eden

1 to 2 p.m.

Benton Branch, Board Room Ages 18+

Join us on the first Monday of every month (2nd Monday if there’s a holiday on the 1st Monday) at 1:00 PM to discuss the selected title of the month. June’s book is East of Eden by John Steinbeck and will be discussed on Monday, June 5, 2023. Each member selects a title and leads the discussion for their selection at the monthly meeting. Light refreshments served. Interested participants can pick up a copy of the next title to be discussed at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library’s circulation desk in Benton. No registration required and walk-ins welcome! If you like to read, and you like to talk about what you read, this book club is for you!

2023 Summer Reading Challenge! This free event is open to all ages and will feature food trucks, a bounce house, yard games, bubbles, popsicles, and a LEGO station in the Storytime Room. There will also be a registration table for the Summer Reading Challenge.

Tech Connect - Cybersecurity

Basics

Learn how to be safer online with accounts/passwords and to recognize and protect yourself from online scams. Computers will be provided for you. Registration is required as spots are limited.

Toddler Storytime

Join Mrs. Wendy for this fun, active storytime designed just for toddlers. We will enjoy rhymes, flannel stories, songs, books, and instruments. After storytime, we will enjoy some play time together. This storytime is designed for children 3 & under, but all children are welcome.

Cooking Club (First Hour)

DIY Girls

Come and do simple girly crafts with us during the summer and make some new girlfriends! Everything will be provided, and you will be able to take your project home the same day.

Coding Club

2 to 3 p.m.

Benton Branch, Meeting Room Ages 9-12

Learn the basics of coding with Mrs. Becca and Mrs. Jordan this summer. We’ll be able to experiment with hands-on coding and STEM activities every week.

Adult D&D Night - Campaign A 6 to 8 p.m.

Benton Branch, Meeting Room Ages 18+

Do you love playing D&D? SCL will be hosting an adult D&D night. We will meet on the first Wednesday of every month. Registration is required.
