Linda Kentner

Linda Kentner, of Benton, passed away on June 29, 2022, in Little Rock.

She was born in Winterset, Iowa, to Robert and Catherine Berry on

Dec. 16, 1943. She went to school in

Lorimar, Iowa, and Winterset, Iowa. She attended beauty school right after high school. She married Vance Kentner on

Aug. 30, 1975, in Lorimor, Iowa. They started their life together in Benton.

She worked for the Little Rock School

District as an instructional aid and PE instructor at Mabelvale Elementary, an infant/toddler teacher at Rockefeller Elementary School, and as a teacher’s assistant at Martin Luther King Elementary School. She obtained her child development associate degree while employed at Rockefeller Elementary School. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She always put others first no matter the day or the time. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and cardinals outside of her living room window; watching the deer graze on her lawn; arts and crafts; sewing; cooking and baking; the Christmas season; “Dancing with the Stars;” soap operas.

Linda Kentner is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Catherine Berry; and her brother, Roger Berry.

She is survived by husband, Vance Kentner; son, Berry and Jenna Kentner; daughter, Brinda and Matthew Burr; son, Brandon (B.J.) Kentner; grandchildren, Reece, Rylan and Brooks (Berry Kentner), and Jordan and Chance Burr (Brinda Burr).

Pallbearers will be Berry Kentner, Reece Kentner, Rylan Kentner, Brandon (B.J.) Kentner, Matthew Burr and Jordan Burr.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Roller Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton, AR 72015.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Funeral services will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2022. David Carr will be officiating the Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery in Benton.

Jim, of Conway; sister-in-law, Donna Williams Duggan, of North Little Rock; and brothers-in-law, Wendell McCune, of North Little Rock, and Jack Cogan of Dallas, Texas.

Survived by son, Donald Ralph Moss and wife, Jamie, of Mansfield, Ohio; daughter, Sharon Jean and husband, Dr. Jeffrey Woodward, of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Carol “Ann” Sanders, of Bryant; grandchildren, Jasmine Cushing, of Ankeny, Iowa, Matthew Woodward, of Springfield, Missouri, Elizabeth-Ann and husband, Matthew Lee, of Rogers, and Amanda and husband, Bradley Wallace, of Bryant; great-grandchildren, Nash Lee, of Rogers, Layton Wallace, and Austin Wallace, of Bryant; sister, Dayle McCune, of North Little Rock; brothers, Dr. Lowell D. Williams and wife, Debbie, of Harrison, and Kirby C. Williams and wife, Clare, of Little Rock; sisters-in-law, JoBelle Williams, of Harrison, and Juanita Jo Cogan, of Dallas, Texas; as well as dozens of beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church, in Bryant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the Humane Society of Saline County, P.O. Box 305, Benton, Arkansas 72018.
